Nintendo created a new game system like nothing ever seen before when they created the Wii. While the other systems emphasize the importance of graphics Nintendo created a system that uses a device comparable to the television remote making the system easier for many users.
Nintendo took a big gamble with the difference of their game system. Instead of following the trends they created a system unique with different features. When some would think it would be a losing gamble the Wii took the world by storm. The main reason for the popularity is the system is fun to play. After all it is an entertainment system so it is supposed to be fun!
The Wii is an interactive system that gets the users off the couch and active. They are not sitting for many of the games offered with Wii. As with many game consoles where the players sit for hours with a hand control the Wii creates a new gaming experience. This takes the Wii and gaming experiences to a new level and removes the ?couch potato? syndrome out of the Wii gaming experience.
The Wii is easy to set up. The Wii box includes everything needed to hook up the system so reduce the levels of frustration normally experienced after opening the box only to discover an additional part or piece is needed for the setup.
The console is tiny allowing for the placement without having to rearrange all of the other electronics for proper placement. The console is only 1.75 inches high by 6.25 inches wide and 8.5 inches deep. The size of the console is about the size of three DVD stacked.
The Wii game console comes with Wii Sports to add to the sample of other games. This allows the users to get a true taste of the action they will experience with the Wii gaming system.
Other benefits of the Wii system are the availability of internet channels for weather as well as other channels adding to the appeal of the gaming system.
